Bruno Giner (né en 1960 à Perpignan), qui a étudié la composition avec Ivo Malec, Luis de Pablo et Brian Ferneyhough, est aussi un remarquable passeur de musique. Compositeur et pédagogue, ce militant de la cause de la musique contemporaine est convaincu qu’elle peut toucher un large public dès lors que les conditions de cette rencontre sont réunies. C’est ce qu’il propose lors de ce concert exceptionnel qui convoque sur scène deux ensembles chambristes, le Quatuor Boréal et l’ensemble de violoncelles Nomos, fraîchement créé par Christophe Roy. Des œuvres de Steve Reich, Eric Fischer (en présence du compositeur qui présentera sa musique), Berio, Giner, Larissa Vrhunc, Kagel, Stefano Bonilauri et Xenakis sont au programme. Le tout orchestré par Bruno Giner dans le rôle très pédagogique du maître de cérémonie.
