Le Monfort Théâtre / d’après Witold Gombrowicz / mes Joris Mathieu
Un espace de jeu circulaire au sein duquel évoluent six comédiens. Ce cercle est leur cosmos, « un espace en mouvement perpétuel dans lequel les objets et les humains se mettent en relations, se confrontent et tentent d’organiser le monde ». A travers cette adaptation théâtrale de Cosmos, les membres de la compagnie Haut et Court (fondée en 1998, en région Rhône-Alpes) ont souhaité poursuivre leurs recherches sur « la fusion entre l’image scénique et l’image numérique » et nous plonger dans l’univers d’un roman fondateur pour le metteur en scène Joris Mathieu. Un « roman sur la formation de la réalité », a écrit Witold Gombrowicz dans la préface à ce texte, qui suit la trame d’une intrigue policière en trompe-l’œil. Tentative d’organiser le chaos intime que font surgir de micro-événements examinés à la loupe, Cosmos interroge – avec humour et acuité – le sens des choses et des interprétations.
