Ce groupe né en 2007, composé de très jeunes musiciens, porte un regard d’une remarquable fraîcheur sur l’univers du blues qu’il aborde avec appétit, passion et bonne humeur, des vieux et inusables archétypes du genre au blues-rock des années 70. Les Cotton Bellys signent presque l’intégralité de leur répertoire et se distinguent aussi par leur exigence visuelle : graphisme et illustration remarquables de leur album, site web, tenues sur scène en salopettes et casquettes de fermiers du grand sud américain, etc… Déjà bien repéré dans les circuits pros, le groupe a été trois fois primé lors du Tremplin « Blues sur Seine », a joué en première partie de Calvin Russel et a été plusieurs fois programmé par l’Europa Jazz Festival du Mans. La sortie de leur premier album personnel les place soudain en pleine lumière (disponible en téléchargement sur : www.believe.fr/albums/70233,cotton-bellys.html). Quelques dates franciliennes précèdent une première grosse date parisienne, déjà annoncée le 16 décembre au New Morning. Une découverte !
