La musique, de l’époque byzantine à nos jours, est surtout représentée par des hommes, compositeurs captant l’essentiel des regards et de de l’écoute du public comme des historiens. Comme un contrepied à ce phénomène d’invisibilisation des femmes, Maud Le Pladec a choisi de travailler à l’élaboration d’une playlist, en collaboration avec Tom Pauwels de l’Ensemble Ictus, entièrement centrée sur des compositrices. Un répertoire féminin qui met à jour un matrimoine musical inédit. Loin de refaire l’histoire dans l’Histoire, la chorégraphe s’accompagne de DJ Chloé pour faire vivre sur scène cette rencontre entre la musique et la danse. Les interprètes deviennent également chanteurs, comme pour mieux incarner les voix et la voie de ces possibles retrouvailles, tout en affirmant l’actualité des corps puisant dans l’énergie du dance-floor, du combat, et de l’affirmation de soi.
