Théâtre de Châtillon / Le Monfort
La région de Carélie en Finlande est le théâtre d’une très ancienne tradition, presque perdue aujourd’hui. Sanja Kosonen a participé à plusieurs stages pour tenter de la faire revivre. Aujourd’hui, cette pratique des « pleureuses », qui accompagnaient les cérémonies pour guider le public dans le deuil, devient la source d’inspiration de cette pièce pour sept interprètes, marquée par la question du rituel. Ici, l’acte de pleurer est intimement lié au chant, au souffle, et au lâcher-prise, signe d’un renouveau. Spectacle pluridisciplinaire, Cry me a river joue sur l’anti-clown, et nous invite à un voyage vers des plaines intérieures où l’émotion devient reine. Pour qu’ensuite, soulagement et résilience trouvent leur place dans la poésie des langages du corps et de la voix.
