Captivante et audacieuse idée que celle de Bud Blumenthal, d’un point de vue artistique autant que sociologique, car elle permet de littéralement consulter tout un répertoire d’états de corps issus de multiples horizons géographiques, techniques et culturels, toute une “ dansothèque “ constituée de dizaines et dizaines de soli de deux minutes, filmés dans des conditions identiques, sur des musiques choisies par les danseurs professionnels. Sur un plateau nu, chaque interprète laisse libre cours à son imaginaire en mouvement sans l’intervention d’un chorégraphe et sans la contrainte d’une quelconque scénographie. La prestation est filmée et les captations sont visibles sur internet. Chaque danseur donne ainsi à voir en vraie simplicité son identité et travail artistiques, sachant qu’il ne s’agit bien sûr pas d’une audition, mais d’une performance devant intégrer une base de données. La Biennale de Danse du Val-de-Marne, remarquable instrument de découverte de la danse, invite le public à prendre connaissance de cette diversité de soli sous la forme d’une installation vidéo où le spectateur expérimente une interface ludique et visionne sur écran géant des prestations du monde entier. Une série de captations de danseurs est organisée à Vitry les 26 et 28 février.
