Danser dans des musées ne relève plus aujourd’hui d’un acte exceptionnel. Mais il faut entrer dans l’Orangerie pour comprendre à quel point le lieu donne ici une dimension supplémentaire à la performance. C’est ici que reposent, au creux de salles circulaires, les fameuses Nymphéas de Claude Monet. D’emblée, on est saisi par le fonctionnement immersif de l’œuvre, dont les touches de couleurs impressionnent – dans tous les sens du terme. Elles invitent à flâner, circuler, et plongent le corps du visiteur dans un dialogue avec l’environnement.
Monet entre Ballet et Bauhaus
Depuis le début de la saison, Les Nymphéas deviennent également le lieu de programmation de performances dansées qui ont déjà vu se succéder entre autres Carolyn Carlson, Noé Soulier, François Chaignaud, Dominique Brun et Sylvain Prunenec…Tous ont questionné ce dialogue entre les œuvres d’hier et d’aujourd’hui, pour mieux fouiller la notion d’héritage et de patrimoine. Au tour du Ballet de Lorraine ce mois-ci de danser dans les Nymphéas. Fort d’une première expérience au Centre Pompidou-Metz autour de la figure de l’artiste Oskar Schlemmer, ils réinvitent avec L’Envers les fantômes du Ballet triadique et de son œuvre révolutionnaire dans une forme passionnante d’échange de modernité à modernité.
