Invités de la Cité de la musique où ils sont accueillis très régulièrement, David Grimal et son orchestre relèvent le défi d’interpréter l’Ouverture des « Créatures de Prométhée » , le Quatuor n° 9 et surtout la Symphonie n° 5 de Beethoven, sans chef au podium, et donc dirigés du violon par Grimal, de l’orchestre où il est au premier pupitre des premiers violons… Un sacré défi (si l’on considère la complexité et l’ampleur orchestrale de l’oeuvre) rendu possible par le brio individuel de chacun des membres de l’ensemble mais aussi et peut-être avant tout par un assidu et minutieux travail de répétition, pupitre par pupitre… Un disque recent témoigne de cette prouesse ! Toujours à la Cité, mais cette fois-ci en formule plus resserrée, les Dissonances reviendront en janvier dans les Quatuor n° 8 de Chostakovitch (pour orchestre à cordes), Quatuor n° 1 de Silvestrov et le Concerto grosso n° 1 de Schnittke. Autre événement, les mêmes interprètes seront entre temps à l’initiative, avec l’Association Les Margéniaux, d’un concert exceptionnel (gratuit) par et pour les “personnes de la rue” le 21 décembre à 20h à l’Église St Leu à Paris dans un programme partagé entre Les Quatre Saisons de Vivaldi et les Quatro estaciones Porteñas de Piazzolla (en avant-première de leur prochain enregistrement à sortir ce mois-ci chez Aparté). Un peu de chaleur au coeur de l’hiver…
