La première escale du voyage musical qui s’ouvre cette saison à Nanterre nous invite, « De la Kabylie à la Palestine », à savourer l’expression poétique et pacifique d’artistes issus de territoires souvent meurtris par l’Histoire et la guerre. Disciple d’Hasna el Becharia, la chanteuse Souad Asla, originaire du Sud Algérien, ouvre la soirée du 1er octobre avec son chant métissé chargé du silence majestueux du désert, des tempos berbères et d’influences africaines gnawas. En deuxième partie, Akli D, artiste majeur de la scène algérienne, marqué à la fois par les grands chanteurs kabyles et anglo-saxons, fera revivre la musique ouverte et généreuse de son dernier album produit par Manu Chao. Enfin, deux jours plus tard, les mots de la fin reviendront aux trois frères palestiniens Samir, Wissam, et Adnan Joubran du Trio Joubran, oudistes de très haut vol issus d’une longue lignée de spécialiste de l’instrument, pour leur nouveau spectacle conçu autour de la voix et de la poésie du grand poète palestinien Mahmoud Darwich… « Un homme que nous avons accompagné pendant plus de douze ans, que nous avons aimé et respecté. Un homme dont nous attendions une parole, une lettre, une note, une phrase pour nous enchanter et nous ramener à l’espoir, son espoir… Mahmoud Darwich était aussi sensible aux notes de nos luths que nos cœurs à sa poésie » confie le Trio. Les frères Joubran seront aussi rejoints sur scène par le Trio Chkrrr (violoncelle-violon-machines) avec lequel ils ont enregistré la musique du film "Le Dernier Vol" de Karim Dridi.
