Il lui fallait sans doute passer par là : se dire et se montrer, mettre au jour les différentes couches qui se sont déposées en elle au fil des ans, et qui constituent sa singularité même. Raphaëlle Delaunay a créé Debout ! dans un désir fort de transmettre quelque chose d’une histoire de la danse qu’elle a pu traverser, du ballet de l’Opéra de Paris à Pina Bausch, en passant par Alain Platel ou Jiri Kylian. Mais c’est la petite histoire qui prime dans ce solo. Avec délicatesse, discrétion, sans déballage aucun, elle balaye certains aspects de son parcours, qu’elle livre en voix off à travers une bande sonore. Décontractée, posée, sa voix nous guide, avec distance ou humour.
Une ouverture vers le hip hop
Ses années à l’Opéra de Paris ? Profondément ancrées dans son corps, mais aussi dans son esprit, quand l’anecdote pointe sa différence de danseuse métisse, qu’il faut gommer dans l’effort de standardisation des corps. Son évocation de Pina Bausch est tout de suite très touchante – à peine a-t-elle entamé ce geste des bras que l’on reconnaîtrait entre tous. Cette identité qu’elle revendique se lit à mesure qu’elle injecte dans son solo des moments de danse plus improvisés, plus emmêlés, qui composent un langage ouvert vers le hip hop auquel elle s’est également formée.
