En crise profonde, le couple que forment Frank et Katarina ne conçoit pas d’échappatoire. Une éventuelle distraction au cœur de l’affrontement s’esquisse lorsqu’ils invitent des voisins, Jenna et Thomas. Un implacable engrenage va les entraîner à la dérive. Ecrivain du conflit, du bouleversement et du dénuement, Lars Noren laisse émerger la rage et la violence de l’échec des relations. Lorraine de Sagazan souhaite traverser de manière personnelle l’écriture géniale du dramaturge et approcher « le mouvement et la consistance de son écriture par d’autres moyens que le texte ». « J’ai voulu abattre ce quatrième mur, ce filtre qui m’embarrasse pour proposer aux spectateurs de vivre et ressentir la situation en l’éprouvant ; vivre le théâtre de l’intérieur. » confie-t-elle. Devenus invités par le couple, les spectateurs se confrontent à la monstruosité ordinaire des situations, dans une sorte de « laboratoire de vérité » qui vise à faire naître l’émotion et à bousculer la pensée. Avec Lucrèce Carmignac, Antonin Meyer Esquerré, Jeanne Favre, Benjamin Tholozan, des interprètes profondément engagés.
