DUO / CREATION / STUDIO DE L’ERMITAGE
Le premier, Renaud García-Fons, bien connu des mélomanes français, est un virtuose et un visionnaire de la contrebasse dont il explore avec passion toutes les possibilités sonores et expressives, le plus souvent dans ses propres compositions voyageuses. Le second, Derya Türkan, est un adepte du Kemençe (prononcer « kémantché »), petite lyre d’Asie centrale. On a rarement eu l’occasion d’entendre ces deux instruments, le plus petit et le plus grand des instruments à archet, associés dans un projet musical en duo. Il s’agit même probablement d’une première. Après leur rencontre au sein d’une formation de Kudsi Erguner, le célèbre musicien turc spécialiste du Ney, l’idée leur est venue d’enregistrer ensemble, et de donner corps et âme à des inspirations musicales nourries d’influences orientales, méditerranéennes et latines, entre traditions du Maqam Oriental et du Cante Jondo Andalou. Tout un voyage, de la Terre à la Lune en quelque sorte…
