Avec 99 duos, Jean-Claude Gallotta reprenait une place essentielle
dans le paysage chorégraphique des années 2000. Il voulait y montrer simplement
l’amour et a su, sur le mode de la rencontre à deux, varier les plaisirs de la
danse. « Il n?y a pas d’amour heureux », disait Brassens à la fin du
spectacle. Il n?y a que des gens, en vérité, puisque ce sont eux le sujet du
spectacle. De même avec Trois Générations, où le chorégraphe
invitait des danseurs de tous âges dans une célébration de l’humanité. La danse
est vive, tranchante, heureuse et nostalgique. Puis, avec Des Gens qui
dansent, Gallotta est allé plus loin dans l’idée d’inviter des « vrais »
gens sur le plateau (comme avec les duos d’amateurs du premier volet du
triptyque). Mais ici, le prisme de ces portraits multiples nous renvoie l’image
d’une famille, simple, ordinaire, épurée.
