A l’intérieur d’un cabaret, quatre personnages sont subitement plongés dans une obscurité inattendue. Lors de ce moment comme hors du temps, Ada (une danseuse aveugle), Viviane (une représentante en équipement sanitaire), Confetti (une femme anciennement homme) et Serge (le responsable de la panne électrique) font l’expérience d’un nouveau rapport au monde. Car dans le noir, ils peuvent se libérer, se réinventer, tenter« de se débarrasser d’une étiquette, d’un genre, d’une vie qu’ils subissent, pour apparaître aux yeux des autres comme ils ont toujours été ou désirent tant être ». Des Lampions de papier questionne la notion d’identité, la perception de soi et des autres. Remettant en cause les repères visuels des comédiens et du public, la représentation élaborée par Héloïse Ester (présente sur scène aux côtés d’Emmanuelle Trinquesse – chanteuse et comédienne malvoyante -, Florent Anizon et Laurent Le Bras) convoque l’imaginaire en appelant à la découverte d’une nouvelle réalité.
