Manufacture des Œillets / Texte et mes Adel Hakim
Après Antigone, succès repris en ce début d’année pour inaugurer l’ouverture de la Manufacture des Œillets (lire notre critique dans ce numéro), Adel Hakim crée avec les mêmes comédiens du Théâtre National Palestinien Des Roses et du Jasmin, dont il signe le texte et la mise en scène. Sur le modèle de la tragédie grecque, chère à son auteur, Des Roses et du Jasmin « relate le parcours, à travers trois générations, d’une famille dans laquelle convergent les destins de personnages arabes et juifs. » Miriam, jeune femme juive venue de Berlin, et John, officier anglais ; Léa, leur fille, et Mohsen, jeune palestinien dont elle tombe amoureuse ; Yasmine et Rose, leurs deux filles. De 1944 à 1988 ; de la Palestine sous mandat anglais à l’Intifada : comment construire sa vie à partir de ce que les générations précédentes ont légué ? Comment se libérer du poids du passé ? En ayant conscience qu’il existe et en en parlant, répond Adel Hakim, fidèle à sa volonté d’un art humaniste qui sache, sinon réconcilier les hommes, au moins leur en montrer la possibilité.
