Compositeur, pianiste, improvisateur (et compagnon de route de longue date de l’ensemble TM+), Alexandros Markeas voit la musique comme un espace ouvert, champ des possibles et non champ de batailles esthético-idéologiques. Si son œuvre se retrouve souvent aux frontières des traditions populaires, des expressions urbaines et de la musique savante, c’est pour que les genres fraternisent, histoire de montrer qu’une autre vie musicale est possible, sans ses divisions qui emprisonnent les publics dans une stérile guerre de tranchées. Baissons la garde donc, et écoutons : à partir d’un texte, un cantique de Sébastien Joannez, Désarmés, Alexandros Markeas réunit les univers du rock (avec le son des révoltes électriques de la guitare et de l’orgue Hammond) et de la création musicale contemporaine, avec au côté des deux solistes les voix adolescentes des choeurs du Conservatoire de Nanterre et de lycées de Paris et Saint-Germain-en-Laye
