Roberto Castello est une grande figure de la danse en Italie, même si son terrain d’action dépasse le simple cadre de la chorégraphie. Jamais là où on l’attend, c’est ce que nous disent ces deux pièces programmées l’une après l’autre et qui dissèquent deux univers différents. Inferno, proposition exubérante qui donne un souffle singulier à l’Enfer de Dante, rompt avec la traditionnelle binarité bien / mal, enfer / paradis. Au passage, il égratigne les idées reçues sur la danse et emporte le public. Quant à In Girum imus nocte et consumimur igni, il s’avère être un quatuor en noir et blanc plus froid mais tout aussi énergique, dans l’échappée d’une répétition aux confins de la transe. Deux visions de l’humanité, de communautés ancrées dans des environnements étrangement familiers.
