THÉÂTRE IMPÉRIAL DE COMPIÈGNE & THÉÂTRE DES CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES / MUSIQUE SACRÉE
Si votre cœur balance entre le Stabat Mater de Pergolèse et celui de Scarlatti, ces deux chefs-d’œuvre de la musique sacrée vous sont proposés ici en un seul concert. Une union d’autant plus judicieuse que les deux partitions ont été commandées par la même communauté de Franciscains à Naples. Si le premier en date, celui d’Alessandro Scarlatti (1724), révèle un compositeur en pleine maturité, les Franciscains préfèrent commander, seulement 12 ans plus tard, un nouveau Stabat Mater, plus moderne, à un jeune compositeur de talent : Giovanni Battista Pergolèse. Achevée avant de mourir, cette partition poignante est l’une des plus célèbres de la musique classique. Les deux œuvres sont portées par les voix de la soprano Véronique Gens et de la contralto Marie-Nicole Lemieux sous la direction de Thibaut Noally à la tête de son ensemble Les Accents.
