Lendemain de fête, quand rôdent encore parmi les verres abandonnés les pensées vaguement éméchées de la nuit, entre reflux d’ivresse et chutes de tension. Un homme, costume défait et langue pâteuse, revient à la table désertée. Cet homme, c’est un philosophe désabusé replié sur la dérision face au néant social. C’est un magnat de l’industrie, politicien arriviste, le sourire solidement accroché aux canines et les belles convictions discrètement assises sur la corruption mafieuse. C’est aussi son homme de l’ombre en charge de ses affaires secrètes, qui se faufile entre les réseaux et échappe à tout registre officiel. C’est encore un travesti en quête de sainteté et tenté par la diable. C’est enfin un grand patron, Cor Herkströter, ancien président de Shell, qui discourt sur le capitalisme et les paradoxes de la responsabilité des multinationales… Puisant dans les écrits de Pasolini et le plaidoyer de Cor Herkströter, Deux voix plonge dans les bas-fonds de l’univers des puissants et dénude les collusions entre la classe politique, la mafia et l’épiscopat.
Un acteur exceptionnel
Seul parmi les reliefs du festin, le génial comédien Jeroen Willems se faufile entre les cinq personnages, endossant d’un geste leurs attitudes, leurs dictions et leurs propos satisfaits. Avec cette pièce créée en 1997 et sans cesse rappelée à l’affiche, le metteur en scène Johan Simons, cofondateur de la compagnie ZT Hollandia, continue d’explorer aux jointures de l’art et la vie, creusant au cœur des hommes et démontant les mécanismes du pouvoir pour saisir la complexité du monde contemporain. Dans ce vertigineux jeu de rôles se noue une satire cuisante de la putréfaction du système politico-économique, vilain portait d’une haute société ivre d’elle-même et repue de cynisme. « La bourgeoisie est en train de triompher dans la mesure où la société néo-capitaliste, la civilisation de consommation, sont les vraies révolutions de la bourgeoisie. Et je ne vois pas d’autre alternative parce que, même dans le monde soviétique, en réalité, ce qui caractérise l’homme est moins d’avoir fait la révolution et de la vivre, etc., etc., que d’être consommiste. Dans un certain sens, la révolution industrielle nivelle le monde entier. » disait Pasolini au journaliste Enzo Biagi. C’était en 1971.
