Théâtre de l'Aquarium / chor. Sarah Trouche & Marcel Gbeffa
Elle est plasticienne, française, engagée pour l’éco-féminisme, lui est chorégraphe et acteur de la danse contemporaine au Bénin. Pour la pièce Dide, (« Debout lève-toi » en Yoruba), ils ont confronté leurs différences pour questionner la place et les combats des femmes. Cette pièce créée en plusieurs étapes et sous plusieurs formes, à la fois manifeste artistique et spectacle pluridisciplinaire, mêle poésie, arts plastiques et danse.
La mère suprême
Les deux artistes y réinventent le Gèlèdé, une cérémonie traditionnelle de la culture Yoruba au Bénin réservée aux hommes, où les participants fusionnent avec la déesse primordiale Iyà Nlà grâce à des masques. « Le Gélédé [nom de la cérémonie et du masque ndlr] transperce le corps de son porteur pour lui faire respecter la mère suprême. Les corps des hommes sont traversés par cette énergie féminine mystique très puissante, qui donne la vie, mais peut aussi la reprendre » explique Sarah Trouche. Grâce à cinq danseurs et quarante masques en acajou dessinés par la plasticienne, le duo interroge la vulnérabilité masculine, la fluidité du genre et la place des hommes dans les combats des féministes. Un voyage spirituel qui nous invite à accueillir notre part de féminin.
