Ce brillant compositeur pour l’image (il compose pour le cinéma, la télévision et la pub) est régulièrement rattrapé par le démon de la scène. Il était logique que ses pas le mènent un jour jusqu’à la Cité des Papes. Après avoir renduhommage, il y a quelques années, à son maître avec le projet « Papa Grappelli », Didier Riey nous invite aujourd’hui, à la tête d’un véritable quartet de jazz, dans un périple musical fortement teinté de nostalgie. Dans ce concert scénarisé intitulé « Le violon dingue fait son cinéma », nous partons à la rencontre de ses souvenirs de salles obscures qui sont aussi les nôtres, de Jacques Tati (« Mon oncle ») à Tony Gatlif, croisant immanquablement le chemin de quelques-unes des plus grandes plumes du 7ème art telles Michel Legrand ou Maurice Jarre, mais aussi – encore lui ! – Stéphane Grappelli qui signait en 1974 la BO radieuse du film « Les Valseuses »… Didier Riey et son violon seront entourés sur scène par Lionel Jaureguy (guitare), François Masse (contrebasse) et Didier Roullin (batterie).
