Ce fut l’un des temps forts de la saison 2008-2009 de l’Opéra Comique. La mise en scène de Didon et Enée de Purcell par Deborah Warner avait séduit public et critique par son inventivité, tant esthétique (les lumières toujours sublimes de Jean Kalman…) que purement théâtrale. On retrouve donc avec plaisir cette production, avec toujours dans la fosse les Arts florissants dirigés par William Christie. Comme de coutume, ce dernier s’est entouré de chanteurs idoines : Malena Ernman et Nikolay Borchev dans les rôles-titres et Judith van Wanroij dans celui de Belinda. Le lamento final promet de nous offrir une fois de plus de beaux frissons…
