Comment l’idée vous est-elle venue de créer une saison musicale à l’hôpital ?
Dominique Laulanné : Nanterre est une ville à part dans l’Ouest parisien, avec une politique sociale très forte, contrairement à d’autres communes comme Puteaux ou Neuilly. Il y a un véritable engagement en faveur du vivre ensemble. A la Maison de la musique, nous avons déjà organisé des concerts en appartement, dans les foyers de jeunes travailleurs… L’an passé, le pianiste japonais Makoto Ozone a joué du Chopin et des improvisations jazz au CASH de Nanterre, un hôpital où l’on trouve des SDF, des personnes âgées abandonnées… L’atmosphère de ce concert fut incroyable, très émouvante. J’ai ensuite décidé de lancer une saison entière dans cet hôpital, avec un concert chaque mois, le tout piloté artistiquement par la pianiste Shani Diluka.
Qui sont les pianistes invités cette saison ?
D.L. : On entendra Anne Queffélec, Bertrand Chamayou, David Kadouch, Mikhail Rudy, Antoine Hervé, Shani Diluka, Makato Ozone, et en duo Emmanuel Strosser et Claire Désert. Ils ont tous accepté de venir jouer gratuitement. Je leur donne carte blanche pour leur programme, qui doit durer entre 45 minutes et une heure. Seule « contrainte » : en début de concert, chaque pianiste doit jouer la même pièce, l’un des préludes de J.S. Bach. Nous espérons accueillir entre 150 et 200 personnes à chaque concert, dont une quarantaine originaire non pas de l’hôpital, mais d’un quartier socialement difficile de Nanterre. Ces concerts ne sont cependant pas ouverts au public lambda.
Quel est le symbole d’une telle démarche ?
D.L. : Ce n’est pas de la bonne conscience : nous ne sommes pas là pour donner l’aumône aux gens qui souffrent. Il y a le don et le contre-don. Le musicien s’enrichit aussi dans un tel projet, qui donne un sens à son art. Cette saison contribue par ailleurs à offrir une autre image de la musique classique. Aujourd’hui, il y a un grand nombre d’artistes qui sont prêts à s’engager. Cette démarche a d’autant plus de sens que les hôpitaux souffrent actuellement d’un manque crucial de financement.
