C’est un programme d’échanges transatlantiques et transartistiques, qui a pour vocation d’aller au-delà du simple champ musical. L’objectif : « rapprocher durablement musiciens français et nord-américains ; leur donner l’espace, leur donner le temps, leur donner la possibilité d’apprendre à se connaître dans leurs similarités et dans leurs différences, de développer leurs échanges et leurs projets créatifs, dans la réciprocité et dans la complémentarité. » Ce pont a été mis en place début 2013, par Alexandre Pierrepont, anthropologue et auteur de La Nuée, L’AACM un jeu de société musicale, qui œuvre à un tel rapprochement depuis autant de temps qu’il étudie l’ACCM, organisation référence à Chicago.
Libres échanges intergénérationnels
Toutes les générations sont conviées, sans aucune restriction de style, pour ces libres échanges qui défient la sacro-sainte loi des catégories et renouent des liens autrement définis. À la clef, de nouvelles perspectives, comme c’est le cas ce soir avec Don’t tell, un projet né en 2019 à Chicago à l’initiative du guitariste Raymond Boni. « L’improvisation étant un lien fondamental pour la coexistence des êtres, ce qui m’intéresse le plus dans cette rencontre franco-américaine, c’est le parcours singulier de chacun, et la qualité inédite de cet événement », confie-t-il.
