Théâtre Golovine / Chor. Nono Battesti et Juliette Colmant
Né en Haïti, Nono Battesti est un chorégraphe belge dont la gestuelle se situe aux confins du hip-hop et de la danse contemporaine. Après un spectacle à caractère autobiographique, Sources, qui a rencontré un immense succès, Nono Battesti crée cette fois un quatuor, Double, qui réunit deux danseurs et deux musiciens. Il s’agit d’une histoire d’amour, d’une recherche d’équilibre entre le destin, l’instinct, la part féminine. Le spectacle parle de la quête d’unité entre différentes facettes d’une même personnalité et utilise une jolie métaphore. Après toutes ces années à l’avoir suivi sans un mot, l’ombre d’un homme va se redresser afin de faire connaissance avec lui. Aux dires du chorégraphe, la pièce a été construite sur mesure pour des interprètes incontournables : la danseuse contemporaine Juliette Colmant, la chanteuse de soul Dyna B. (qui n’est autre que la petite sœur de Nono), et le musicien multi-instrumentiste Quentin Halloy. Tous dansent et chantent sur scène. Magique, poétique, Double s’inscrit dans un décor végétal et sonore étrangement vivant.
