Quand un faux Docteur honoris causa, Cornélius Flatterzung, présente une conférence pompeusement intitulée « Les sept péchés capitaux de la musique contemporaine » accompagné par un orchestre de scouts… La compagnie musicale pluridisciplinaire Odyssée ensemble & cie explore dans sa nouvelle création, avec humour et virtuosité, les points de rencontres et de frictions entre bruit et musique. Ils ont sollicité le compositeur Vincent Carinola (professeur au Pôle d’Enseignement Supérieur de la Musique en Bourgogne, où il a créé un studio de musiques mixtes et électroacoustiques) pour illustrer la question à travers le prisme des différents courants de la musique contemporaine : sérielle, spectrale, minimaliste, conceptuelle, aléatoire, concrète ou psychédélique, « chapelles » traitées comme autant de péchés capitaux… Dans un esprit très « Pop Art », les interprètes auront à leur disposition non seulement leurs voix et instruments habituels (trompette, trombone, cor, tuba et percussions) mais aussi une série de sources analogiques « vintage » (tourne-disques vinyles, radiocassettes, etc.). De quoi percer les secrets les mieux gardés de la musique contemporaine…
