THEATRE DUNOIS PARIS / OPÉRA JAZZ
Premier spectacle jeune public de l’histoire de l’Orchestre National de Jazz, Dracula vient d’être créé, les 1er et 2 décembre, sur la scène de L’Astrada de Marciac (32) où il a reçu un accueil enthousiaste. Cet opéra co-composé par Grégoire Letouvet et Frédéric Maurin, le nouveau patron de l’ONJ, et mis en scène par Julie Bertin, va maintenant connaître sa première parisienne au Théâtre Dunois. « J’avais envie d’un spectacle qui aborde des thèmes comme la vie, la mort, l’amour, la peur… Inspiré de Dracula, dans une adaptation très libre de Bram Stoker, il prend la forme d’un conte musical, avec deux comédiennes et onze musiciens. C’est un divertissement plein de profondeur » explique Frédéric Maurin qui fait de cette première création « jeune public » de et avec l’ONJ « un axe de travail très important » de son projet. Sa complice metteuse en scène est familière des aventures musicales : « La musique dans les spectacles de notre compagnie, le Birgit Ensemble, a toujours une part très importante. Ce projet est donc un pas de plus en ce sens. Ce n’est ni du théâtre musical ni une comédie musicale : il s’agit d’un genre d’opéra jazz pour tout public » précise Julie Bertin.
