A notre arrivée, les sièges sont déjà recouverts de flocons. Ce n’est qu’un début, qui préfigure la pluie, le brouillard, la tempête de neige, de bulles de savon, le déluge d’éléments qui se déchaînent tout au long du spectacle. La particularité du Slava’s Snowshow ? Fonctionner sur des effets, mettre en branle tous les ressorts de l’illusion théâtrale pour mieux plonger le spectateur dans un espace et un temps hors du commun. Même les limites de la scène sont complètement bousculées, la salle devenant vite un terrain de jeu, tant pour les enfants que pour les clowns qui s’en donnent à cœur joie. Le public est très beau joueur, acceptant les écarts de conduite de ces personnages loufoques. Délirant, divertissant, oui ! mais drôle ? Exit la subtilité dans ce lieu où l’on peut crier comme dans un défouloir, où les attaques musicales passent par les morceaux mille fois entendus de Vangelis ou de Carl Orff.
Des personnages tendres et délicats aux postures extrêmement bien fouillées
Ils sont loin les Buffo, Nouveaux Nez, Annie Fratellini… Et pourtant, derrière les apparences trop crûment assénées, se cachent des clowns de grand talent. Ils dissimulent leur maîtrise du mime sous leurs costumes trop larges, incarnant d’étranges personnages en babygros ou en imper défraîchis, le nez en patates rouges, les oreilles en chapeaux déglingués. Ces vieillards rabougris savent pourtant très bien convoquer la poésie, faisant d’un rien une scène poignante. On préfère sourire discrètement aux adieux poignants sur le quai d’une gare, ou à la rencontre fortuite de deux pendus. Aux martèlements de Carl Orff, au déferlement de ballons de quatre mètres d’envergure sur nos têtes, ou à l’engluement du public dans une toile d’araignée géante, on répondra en retrouvant notre âme d’enfant. « It’s wonderfull », chante-t-on à la fin… Pas aptes s’abstenir.
