Théâtre de la Ville Chorégraphie Faustin Linyekula
C’est une belle entrée en matière qu’il nous offre : assis simplement sur un banc, il côtoie une marionnette au teint blanchâtre. Avec ce pantin vestige d’une colonisation, d’une douleur, le chorégraphe nous dit qu’il ne veut plus raconter d’histoires. C’est pourtant ce qu’il va faire, sans pour autant suivre un fil narratif, mais en convoquant ses ancêtres, sa famille, ses amis, les combattants d’une guerre sans fin. Chanteurs, acteurs, danseurs, les sept interprètes se jettent à corps perdus sur les ruines d’un pays traversé par le colonialisme, la guerre, la dictature, l’oppression. Derrière leurs spasmes, quelques moments de grâce, et l’idée de la reconstruction qui est reprise dans la scénographie et manipulée par les danseurs. Au final, on ne saura si la maison de guingois tiendra cette promesse.
