Mots à tout faire, coquilles vides, contresens et insanités, inepties et fadaises : le bavardage contemporain a beau être bruyant, il est souvent creux, indigent et vain. Le langage perd de sa force à mesure qu’une parole mécanique et braillarde recouvre sa poésie et son inventivité. Artistes en résistance, Pierre-Yves Chapalain, François Chattot et Pierre Meunier font vibrionner les mots pour réveiller leur puissance. « Trois hommes auront sur le plateau la tâche périlleuse et hautement excitante de réincarner le langage, de le réincorporer, en dépit de tous les obstacles qui se dressent entre le désir de dire et le moment où la parole s’élance », dit Pierre Meunier, concepteur de ce projet à la fois ludique et politique. Car comme le disait le vieil Aristote, l’homme est défini doublement, comme « zoon politikon » et « zoon logon echon » : un être doué de cette faculté de discuter avec ses semblables des valeurs de la communauté. Ce n’est donc pas sans raison que les « syllabes épuisées » que les trois complices espèrent faire revivre sont, entre autres, les suivantes : « citoyen, ensemble, fraternité, lien, vie, politique, justice », puisque poétique et politique sont les deux faces de cette médaille qu’est le théâtre… Indociles, espiègles et libres, les trois athlètes de la scène font valser les mots et les idées, en clowns pataphysiciens rigolards et anticonformistes…
