Dans un exercice où il excelle depuis nombre d’années, Sly Johnson utilise sa propre voix comme matériau de composition en temps réel, enregistrant, modifiant, construisant in situ une expérience sonore et visuelle toujours unique. En boucles, en nappes, en silence, en nuances, en beat-box, en pleins et déliés, en groove et en phrasés, la voix devient actrice, transformiste et décuplée, orchestrale, joueuse ou grave, répondant au visage et au corps projetés de Mathilda May, auxquels le plasticien Mathias Delfau donne une dimension graphique et rythmique, jouant des lignes, des détails, des échelles, des mouvements ou des instantanés, autant que de la complicité entre les deux protagonistes, pourtant séparés par les supports. Une performance singulière, qui immerge le spectateur dans une intimité créative.
