Théâtre Au bout là-bas / d’après Birgit Vanderbeke / mes Geneviève Koechlin
C’est en préparant un plat de moules que le personnage incarné par Geneviève Koechlin se met à raconter le passé de sa famille. Elle revient, à travers ce récit sarcastique, sur les événements qui ont eu lieu un soir de son enfance : « le fameux soir où sa famille a basculé », « où peu à peu tout a dérapé ». « Ce texte engagé démonte la place de la mère enfermée dans la soumission, l’enfance maltraitée, la violence du père, explique la comédienne et metteure en scène. Il nous interroge et nous amène à repenser à ce que nous avons détesté (un peu) chez nos parents, à ce que nous reproduisons (finalement) avec nos enfants, à ce qui se passe là-bas, dans d’autres familles, dans l’immeuble d’en face… » Seule en scène, Geneviève Koechlin nous parle d’un sujet grave sur un ton de légèreté grinçante. Elle cherche à favoriser la convivialité et la proximité avec le public, pour faire naître un théâtre de l’intime, pour « apporter l’émotion et l’intelligence d’un texte grave de façon détournée ».
