Athénée Théâtre Louis-Jouvet / de Raffaele Viviani / mes Alfredo Arias
C’est l’une des pièces emblématiques du dramaturge napolitain Raffaele Viviani (1888-1950). Une œuvre pleine d’humour et de sensibilité qu’Alfredo Arias investit avec les interprètes du Teatro Nazionale de Naples. « Le music-hall raconté par Viviani est la corde raide où s’exprime la fragilité de l’être humain, explique le metteur en scène. Rien de plus captivant que le monde de ces divas de l’Eden Teatro au bord du gouffre, qui se disputent une misérable survie sur l’affiche et sur les planches d’un théâtre qui est le dernier espoir d’un monde ou carrément la fin d’un monde. » Chanteuses de charme, chef de claque, sirènes et amuseurs… Eden Teatro nous présente des personnages « en pleine survie, qui s’agitent et trépignent, qui se crêpent le chignon en coulisses et s’offrent sans limite sur scène ». Des personnages à la fois pathétiques et flamboyants qui veulent croire, coûte que coûte, dans la magie de leur art.
