ONDE DE VELIZY / PETIT FAUCHEUX -TOURS / JAZZ
On suit dans ces pages depuis longtemps avec attention et souvent passion le parcours de ce pianiste, compositeur et improvisateur à l’esprit toujours en éveil, doté à la fois d’un tempérament profond et persévérant, le poussant à mener des projets au long cours (comme au sein du Trio Viret avec son complice Jean-Philippe Viret), mais aussi d’une imagination et d’un appétit de rencontres qui le conduisent à proposer régulièrement de nouveaux projets étonnants. On se souvient de ses récentes inventions, en solo dans Bach (les géniaux « Think Bach » volumes 1 et 2) ou en duo avec la claveciniste baroque Violaine Cochard. Dans cette nouvelle proposition intitulée « Altérité », Ferlet a réuni en studio, avec une belle intuition et par un bel après-midi, trois figures singulières : la flûtiste franco-syrienne Naïssam Jalal, le percussionniste guadeloupéen Sonny Troupé et le violoncelliste marseillais Guillaume Latil. Ils ont joué, improvisé, cherché et trouvé ensemble. Et le temps s’est suspendu… tandis que les micros ne manquaient rien de la musique en train de naître. De cette fulgurante confrontation est né un groupe qui a su garder le meilleur de cette session fondatrice, à la manière de Miles Davis et Teo Macero dans In a Silent Way. Ces musiciens en prolongent aujourd’hui l’inspiration sur scène et bientôt au disque…
