Sous-titré « Gitanerie musicale en un acte et deux tableaux » L’Amour Sorcier de Manuel De Falla est une histoire de revenants, créée par Antonia Mercé, dite « La Argentina », danseuse mythique du flamenco. La première version datée de 1915 était destinée à la danseuse de flamenco Pastora Imperio. C’est une autre légende du flamenco qui l’incarne aujourd’hui : Israel Galvan, mais sous les traits d’Eduarda de Los Reyes, gants rouges, corset et bottes à talon haut. De quoi mettre à mal les idées reçues et les gitanes de pacotille. Magistral, assis pour ne garder que l’essence, le fameux duende qui se manifeste d’abord dans l’invisible, comme ce fantôme dont El Amor Brujo nous raconte l’histoire, Madame Eduarda / Galvan soulève ses guenilles pour nous faire voir Dieu, comme chez Georges Bataille ! La partition brisée, jouée au piano par Alejandro Rojas-Marcos, conçue à partir des deux versions composées par De Falla, a quelque chose d’une atonalité contemporaine, tandis que taconeos et zappateados s’envolent sur la voix profonde de David Lagos. De quoi nous enflammer !
