Andres Marin apparaît d’abord très mystérieux, tout de noir vêtu et dans une atmosphère extrêmement sombre, éclairé par des projections vidéo lumineuses qui lui barrent le corps et le visage. Seul avec une majestueuse chaise – il ne le restera pas très longtemps. Le danseur a choisi de s’accompagner, en plus des habituels chanteurs et guitaristes, d’une présence des moins ordinaires incarnée par Llorenç Barber et ses cloches. Le sonneur lui rappelle inconditionnellement son enfance à Séville, et c’est cette réminiscence toute personnelle qui va imbiber la pièce sous forme de puzzle.
Un corps puissamment ancré dans le sol
Mêler intimement la puissance terrienne du flamenco aux sonorités cristallines et aériennes des cloches est une très belle idée. Mais la personnalité de Barber tranche également avec toute idée de folklore. Andres Marin s’engouffre dans la brèche pour n’aller qu’à l’essentiel de sa danse, d’un corps pétri de postures et puissamment ancré dans le sol. Tout y est, mais simplement différemment. La danse n’est qu’un élément de la relation entre les sept hommes qui composent ce spectacle à énigme, qui sème le trouble : une singularité que l’on retrouve aussi bien dans les séquences plus traditionnelles et toujours très référencées au flamenco que dans les sonorités ou les images très troublantes de radiographies de corps.
