La Scierie / conception de Xavier Nuñez Lizama et Mélina Prost / mise en scène de Camille Lucas
Jacques, paysan et fils de paysan, a rencontré sa femme grâce à une émission de télévision. Leur ferme a brûlé, tout le troupeau est en cendres. Qui a fait ça ? Surgit le frère de Jacques, présentateur télé. Il lui propose de faire à nouveau appel à la télévision pour reconstruire la ferme, mais Jacques refuse. Trois musiciens à têtes d’animaux (un renard violoniste, un sanglier à la cornemuse et un cerf contrebassiste) interprètent des chants de labour pour guider les hommes et mener l’enquête. Conçu en diptyque, Elevage fait suivre le drame rural en trois actes d’un bal traditionnel. « Qui a fait ça ? C’est se demander que faire ? », disent Mélina Prost et Xavier Nuñez Lizama, qui interrogent autant les conditions de mutation et de survie de la ruralité que le regard que portent les urbains sur les paysans. En mêlant théâtre, musique et chants et en jouant avec l’environnement dans les conditions du plein air, Les Animaux de la Compagnie invitent au partage, à la danse et au dialogue.
