Usé par une longue carrière passée dans la fosse de l’Opéra de Paris, un musicien (Emmanuel Van Cappel) s’interroge sur la place que prend son instrument dans sa vie. Où sont les limites ? Et d’ailleurs, existent-elles ? « Assemblés pour la première fois, ces deux mots ‘elle’ et ‘moi’ ont d’abord évoqué une opposition », confesse l’auteur, qui ajoute : « puis vint une interrogation ‘elle… ? et moi ?’ mais aussi une appartenance, ‘elleestmoi’, écho de ma partie féminine, et enfin une suspension pour évoquer un dialogue exploratoire sur la nature de cet émoi ». Avec cette partition théâtrale, par-delà le regard sur le métier d’instrumentiste, c’est la relation du musicien à son instrument qui est mise à nu dans sa complexité et son ambivalence. Petit à petit, le personnage se déleste pour ouvrir la voie à un autre rapport, plus juste et plus épanouissant.
