SPECTACLE MUSICAL / CACHAN
« L’idée est née dans un lieu pour lequel je m’inquiète beaucoup en ce moment, et pour les musiciens que nous y avons connus, dont nous n’avons aucune nouvelle. Pendant une tournée en Syrie, nous avons visité le Bimaristan d’Alep, où on formait autrefois les « fous » à la musique, pour leur donner un rôle dans la société. J’ai eu envie de raconter cette histoire, en la mettant en regard des Mad Songs de Purcell ou Blow, qui mettent en scène des fous, ceux que la bonne société de Londres allait voir à l’hôpital, pour s’en divertir…
Folie et transe
La question est : Qui est fou ? Qui a le droit de désigner les fous ? Comment les encadre-t-on et les utilise-t-on dans la société ? Peut-être y a-t-il un début de réponse dans les musiques de transe où la folie devient un moyen de communiquer avec… on ne sait pas quoi, mais un genre d’au-delà, d’autre monde. On appelle ça les dieux, les esprits, l’inconscient, comme vous voulez, c’est la même chose ! C’est le danseur camerounais Merlin Nyakam qui sera le passeur de notre programme, passeur vers l’inconnu, avec sa double culture africaine et contemporaine. »
