Comment avez-vous choisi ce programme ?
Elsa Dreisig : Il coïncide avec mon CD à paraître le 10 janvier chez Warner, Morgen, qui en allemand veut dire à la fois « matin » et « demain ». Le programme joue avec cette signification, il s’agit d’une sorte de voyage initiatique dont le socle est les Quatre derniers lieder de Strauss. Avec mon pianiste Jonathan Ware, nous nous sommes aperçus que les mélodies de Duparc font écho à la perfection au cycle de Strauss car ces deux compositeurs montrent une grande sensibilité pour la voix. De même Rachmaninov se marie très bien avec eux, en apportant un univers russe. Le fil rouge est donc ce voyage initiatique à travers les différentes saisons qui sont aussi un miroir des saisons de l’âme ou de la vie.
Comment abordez-vous le récital ?
E. D. : Si l’opéra représente la forme absolue, il y a dans le récital une insolence, une liberté qui permettent d’approcher au plus près de ce qu’est un musicien ou un chanteur. Je vois le récital comme une recherche, un travail personnel du même ordre que la psychanalyse par exemple, où on accepte d’être vulnérable sans être caché comme à l’opéra derrière les costumes, les lumières, les collègues… Le récital m’est essentiel, mais ne faire que cela m’épuiserait. Ce serait comme faire un sprint constamment !
