Les frères Xavier Phillips et Jean-Marc Phillips-Varjabédian, respectivement violoncelliste et violoniste (qu’on ne présente plus !) réitèrent leur expérience (déjà tentée sur un programme de musique arménienne, avec le pianiste Vahan Mardirossian) de provoquer une mise en espace et en images de leur concert. À l’occasion de la sortie sur le label Lontano d’un disque Ravel enregistré avec Emmanuel Strosser au piano, ils ont conçu un séduisant programme d’œuvres de musique française : une vingtaine de pages courtes de Debussy, Fauré, Ravel, Satie, Dutilleux et Escaich. Ces musiques prendront vie sur scène dans un environnement d’images vidéo inspirées des paysages impressionnistes de peintres contemporains des compositeurs au programme… Un nouveau regard créatif et résolument actuel sur la forme figée du concert classique. L’expérience réunit aussi, autour des musiciens, les talents de Pierre-Alexandre Mati (direction artistique), David Coignard (scénographie et images), Arnaud Gautron (images et graphisme), Yann Le Bras (lumières), Jérôme Pascal (décors), Anny Tresch, costumes) et Jeff Saul (régie vidéo).
