« Notre recherche constante des possibilités d’expression contenues dans des musiques d’exception nous a amenés à réunir des instruments historiques rares, à la sonorité fascinante » confie le claveciniste Frédérick Haas, fondateur en 2001, avec la violoniste Mira Glodeanu, de cet excellent ensemble belge. Au fil de ses quinze ans d’activité, Ausonia a su construire un son bien à lui, synthèse d’invention et d’intelligence, et acquérir une reconnaissance, en particulier dans le domaine de la musique française. Dès 2001, avec un disque dédié à la musique de François Francoeur, et jusqu’à une série exceptionnelle d’enregistrements plus récents, d’inspiration chambriste, consacrés à Jean-Philippe Rameau, dont Zoroastre et Zaïs, que les mortels servent de modèle aux dieux, salué par la presse internationale… Ces mêmes musiciens de l’Ensemble Ausonia se consacrent aujourd’hui à Bach dont ils viennent de graver en studio quatre pages concertantes : les concertos pour clavecin en ré mineur BWV 1052 et en mi majeur BWV 1053, et les deux concertos pour violon BWV 1041 et BWV 1042. Un disque attendu prochainement sur le label Hitasura Production fondé par Frédérick Haas, dont ce sera la première édition. Ils reprennent ce programme en concert à Paris.
