MUSIQUE CONTEMORAINE / PHILHARMONIE DE PARIS
Après une tournée en janvier avec un programme conçu autour du Voyage d’Hiver, l’EIC a décidément la fibre poétique en ce début d’année… Le nouveau programme de Matthias Pintscher à la tête de son Ensemble Intercontemporain à la Philharmonie 2 (l’ancienne salle de la Cité de la Musique) présente trois partitions (nouvelles ou de la seconde moitié du XXème siècle), composées sur des textes de grands poétes : E. E. Cummings pour A Twilight’s Song pour soprano et sept instruments de Matthias Pintscher, Rilke pour Nacht-Räume de Aribert Reimann et enfin Rimbaud et ses Illuminations (qui ont aussi inspiré Britten), dont le poème Devant une neige, un Être de Beauté de haute taille a inspiré Hans Werner Henze en 1963 pour sa Cantate Being Beautous (pour harpe et quatre violoncelles). Dans les trois cas, ces œuvres s’incarneront dans la voix de la soprano Yeree Suh, prodigieuse chanteuse coréenne spécialiste du répertoire contemporain. C’est notamment elle qui avait participé à la première européenne de with lilies white de Matthias Pintscher sous la direction de Kent Nagano à la Philharmonie de Berlin… Au même programme : les Six Pièces op. 6 de Webern et une création mondiale du mexicain Arturo Fuentes ( Snowstorm I et II).
