Strasbourg est aujourd’hui l’une des capitales de la musique contemporaine. Outre le festival Musica qui s’y déroule chaque automne, la métropole alsacienne compte un grand nombre de formations spécialisées, parmi lesquelles l’ensemble Linéa, dirigé par Jean-Philippe Wurtz (ancien chef assistant de l’Orchestre National de Montpellier). Cet ensemble est en résidence à l’Abbaye de Royaumont, où il donne, en début de saison, deux concerts : le samedi 12 septembre, avec les Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, Linea crée les pièces des étudiants participant à la 20ème session de composition, et le dimanche 13 septembre, l’ensemble consacre un programme aux femmes compositeurs : Naomi Pinnoc, Isabel Mundry, Hyun-Hwa, Jin-Ah, Nirmali Fenn et Misato Mochizuki. A noter également, pendant le même week-end, l’exécution de Mantra de Stockhausen par les pianistes Pascal Meyer et Xenia Pestova.
