Composé de musiciens par ailleurs membres de différents ensembles bien repérés sur la scène de la musique contemporaine (2e2m, TM+, Domaine musical, etc…), Musicavanti a vu le jour en 2003. L’ensemble défend une démarche artistique animée « par la volonté de réaliser des concerts qui établissent un lien entre les différentes époques de la création musicale en associant musiques des siècles passés et de notre temps ». On retrouve dans ses rangs des personnalités musicales aussi riches et différentes que le pianiste et compositeur franco-argentin Carlos Roque Alsina, l’américain David Simpson à la fois violoncelle solo des Arts Florissants et très engagé sur le front de la musique contemporaine ou encore le violoniste Alexis Galpérine. Pour ce troisième et avant-dernier rendez-vous de la saison, Musicavanti se plait à aborder successivement Schubert en trio, une Toccata pour piano de Khatchaturian ou le Bach de la Sonate en si mineur pour flûte et piano. Au même programme, deux découvertes : « D’un arbre nuit » pour violon, violoncelle et piano de Claude Lefebvre (ancien élève de Milhaud et Boulez, né en 1931) et 7 Hai-Kus pour flûte, clarinette, violon, violoncelle et piano de Viera Janarcekova (née en 1941 en Slovaquie).
