Crémée, maquillée, rasée, tatouée, bronzée, ridée, cicatrisée, habillée… la peau porte trace autant de notre hérédité et notre histoire que de nos projections et nos modèles. Travaillée de l’intérieur comme de l’extérieur, cette enveloppe garde nos désirs au secret mais toujours finit par trahir le grouillis des pulsions et la construction sociale de soi. Avec Enveloppes timbrées, Sébastien Lefrançois dévoile le conflit intime entre l’être et le paraître, montre comment chacun négocie avec ses contradictions, parfois jusqu’au ridicule. Pour cette création, le chorégraphe, en résidence à l’Espace 1789 de Saint-Ouen, a recueilli des témoignages, mené des ateliers avec des amateurs, et construit sa matière à partir de ces « laboratoires du réel ». Alliant gestuelle hip hop et mélodie du violoncelle, qui exprime les vibrations de la chair, les cinq interprètes donnent corps à ce que nous cachons à même la peau.
