« Le spectacle sera basé sur les albums « Chansons d’une maman » et surtout « Clap! » (paru récemment chez Naïve Jeunesse). Nous allons mettre en scène des chansons choisies, celles que je chantais à tue-tête dans la voiture avec mes parents ! On y reconnaîtra des extraits de bandes originales de mes films culte : La Mélodie du Bonheur, Peau d’Âne, Un Américain à Paris, Bugsy Malone, Les Demoiselles de Rochefort, Annie… Des thèmes et des musiques en français et en anglais qui parleront autant aux parents qu’aux grands-parents.Je trouve qu’aujourd’hui la musique pour enfants manque de mélodies qui tiennent la route… J’espère transmettre aux enfants ce bel héritage qui me tient à coeur. Je me vois un peu dans le rôle maternant d’une passeuse de relais, à mon niveau, à ma mesure. D’autant que, sous l’impulsion de Leïla Cukierman, directrice du Théâtre d’Ivry, « Clap! » s’inscrit dans une action culturelle globale avec le quartier, dans la ville, avec les publics. C’est une aventure sociale autant qu’artistique ».
