« Il est une fois un bois, libido de cette ville, passera, qui y passera, y viendra, n’y viendra pas ? ». Le bois qu’évoque Eric Da Silva dans ce nouvel opus de la fresque commencée depuis presque une décennie est le Bois de Boulogne, « gigantesque lupanar à ciel ouvert une fois la nuit venue », lieu de glissements et de caresses, de rencontres et de luttes, de risque et de jouissance pour tout un petit monde interlope aux noms poétiques et drôles. Mais ce bois n’est pas seulement un bois, ce lieu des plaisirs pas seulement un jardin des délices. Il est « l’épicentre métaphorique d’un monde dans lequel le masque que l’homme se fabrique dans l’urgence pour combattre, aimer, se défendre possède l’étonnante propriété de tenir tête à la réalité ». Il est un monde dont l’autre nom est le théâtre. Sous la forme d’une lecture performance en devenir comme le monde qu’il évoque est en métamorphose perpétuelle, le spectacle imaginé par Eric Da Silva emprunte aux monstres élisabéthains qui l’inspirent : tout en cruauté et tout en fragilité, en émotion et en tension. Un spectacle à la mesure de la complexité du monde…
