Après un enregistrement en hommage à Amalia Rodriguez, la chanteuse revient avec un nouvel album : « Abril ». Artiste intense et pudique, Christina Branco s’est imposée comme la grande voix actuelle du fado. Beauté magique, voix majestueuse et pure, présence forte quasi-religieuse… Une grande dame.

Katia Guerreiro
Une des grandes voix de la nouvelle génération de la scène du fado portugais. Signe particulier : Katia Guerreiro partage son existence entre la musique et son métier de médecin urgentiste dans un hopital de Lisbonne. « Je chante le fado pour guérir les âmes, mais je reste médecin pour soigner la souffrance des hommes » confie-t-elle.

Guem
Il explore depuis les années 70 les peaux frappées d’Afrique noire, d’Amérique latine et du Maghreb. Un temps sideman jazz, Guem s’affirme rapidement comme le chantre moderne de la percussion, sillonnant festivals pointus ou alternatifs avec la même rigueur passionnée. Popularisée par un générique célébrissime du petit écran, sa musique rythmique rivalise de finesse technique, d’ouverture et de transe.

La jeune lolita du Cap-Vert signe son troisième album, « Mornador » (le faiseur de Morna), chez Lusafrica. Une artiste solaire à la voix suave incroyable, épaulée dans son nouvel opus par des signatures majeures telles que Teofilo Chantre, Jorge Humberto ou Boy Gé Mendès.
