Qui est Thomas Gunzig ?
David Strosberg : C’est un des auteurs francophones les plus lus en Belgique. Il tient aussi une chronique radio humoristique chaque matin sur la RTBF et a co-écrit le scénario du dernier film de Jaco Van Dormael. Avec Alexandre Trocki, nous l’avons rencontré pour lui proposer d’écrire un seul en scène, et lors de notre rencontre, nous nous sommes aperçus que nous étions tous les trois père.

Ce spectacle parle donc de la paternité ?
D.S : C’est l’histoire d’un père qui emmène son fils à l’école, mais ce dernier a peur de traverser la cour. Alors son père décide de lui raconter comment en regardant des films il a appris à ne plus avoir peur et à prendre des initiatives. Mais surprise, il ne lui parle pas de films d’auteur, mais plutôt de films de série B, type Halloween ou Massacre à la tronçonneuse !
Est-ce une leçon de vie ou un spectacle comique ?
D.S : Le geste d’écriture est comique. Le père se dévoile totalement. Gunzig manie une langue ludique, très imagée et baroque. L’ensemble est d’un humour grave, intelligent et émouvant. C’est un spectacle pour les enfants à partir de douze ans, car il faut manier le second degré, mais c’est aussi un spectacle pour les adultes qui permet de retrouver les émotions et la fragilité de l’enfance.
